Hello, I’m Serena

I’m so glad you found me at my new, beautiful website home.  Let me tell you a bit about myself.  After I retired from federal civil service in 1996, I was searching for a spiritual teacher and wanted to plant both feet firmly on a “path”.  I found the Nine Gates Mystery School and found not one but several paths and have been blending those paths for the past 24 years. 

My teachers have included am African Shaman, a Celtic Druid, a Native American shaman, numerous Reiki Masters, and a Hawaiian Kahuna.  My life’s work now reflects the teachings of these traditions. 

Over the years, I’ve worked with over 40 Reiki Masters and spent hours researching Reiki in Japan.  Beginning in 1959 I lived in Japan for several years and participated in an International Reiki Master Congress in 1999, spending time first in Tokyo then Kyoto where we climbed Mount Karama, the location where Usui sensei had his mystical experience. A truly magical experience.

I began working with my Hawaiian Kahu, Mark Saito,  in 1996 and began an apprenticeship with him in 1999.  We worked together in Hawaii, San Diego, Sacramento and Joshua Tree, California.  In 2006, I received my Hawaiian name, Ka Lilinoe o na Lani and his blessing to begin the work.  

While working with Mark, I learned about Ho’o Pono Pono.  He had studied with Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, a renowned Hawaii healer who refined the process and brought in a deeper spiritual understanding. 

All that I have learned, I willingly share with whoever is ready to receive.
