This one-day workshop will cover:
HUNA & HO'O PONO PONO
Reclaim your power

HUNA
Max Freedom Long was a 1917 graduate of UCLA. He moved to the island of Hawaii and began teaching school. He observed the healing “magic” being performed by some Native Hawaiians. Intrigued, he spent much time observing and learning about this “magic.” He called this Huna, from the Hawaiian word for Secret.
Huna then became the modern or Western label given to ancient healing spiritual shamanism of ancient Hawaii.
HO’O PONO PONO
Morrnah Nalamaku Simeona, a healer, updated the healing practices in the 1950-era, refining and giving it a deeper spiritual meaning. Ho’o means to make right; ho’o pono means to make right between two people or things; ho’o pono pono means to make right between multiple beings/things. My teacher, Mark Saito was a student of Morrnah as was Hew Len Haleakala. Hew Len has been working with Joe Vitale and you may know of their work. There are others worthy of note who have expanded on the healing “magic” of Hawai. Most profound for me is Harry Hale Makua who worked with Hank Wessleman, PhD. I was honored to have the opportunity to study with both of them in Hawaii.
There is also Serge Kahili King, Tad James, E. Ortha Wingo (deceased) and James V. Wingo. All have contributed to my study of the ancient healing “magic” of Hawaii.
Ho’o Pono Pono is based on the premise that the world needs balance and the way to maintain balance is to maintain harmony with our fellow travelers, nature, the elements et al. The original system was developed hundreds of years ago and it continues recognizing the power of the mind, the three levels of consciousness and enables one to reclaim their power and take responsibility for self in all aspects of life.
